11th - Monday - Continuing Registration Fees Due - those scouts continuing that did not sign up this scout year need to pay a $30.00 renewal fee. New scouts are already paid.

12th & 13th - Tuesday - Wednesday - Pinewood Derby Practice - 6:30 - 8:30 at the SHYC

15th - Friday - Pack Meeting - Pinewood Derby 6:30 pm at the SHYC - setup help needed at 6:00 pm - Adult/Sibling Class $10.00 entry fee (a car kit is free) - each scout is given a kit to build a race car- each den level will have a winner that is eligible to participate in the Matianuck District Pinewood Derby on March 15th  - Rules:

	- Scouts must use the parts supplied
	- Scouts must be involved with the building (adult help allowed)
	- Car may not weigh more than 5 oz (you can check your weight at the post office counter, anytime)
	- Car must fit on the track (we have a box to check this)
	- no oils - only black graphite is used as a lubricant (if you can't find any, we can supply)
	- No extreme extensions on any side, front, or back 16th - Saturday - District Unified Rechartering Day - East Granby Cong Church, 8:00 am 25th - Monday - Committee Meeting - SHYC, 7:00 pm

 

March

1st - Saturday - Matianuck District Dinner - If we get 10 people, it's a table and we get a discount. Deadline is Feb 16th

8th - Saturday - Blue & Gold Dinner - 4:30 - 8:00 pm - Setup at 1:00 pm - This is a birthday party for scouting - each den makes a cake, decorated as they like, within the theme, for desert - the dinner is catered by BS Troop 89 - we do a major decoration job and this is the time for advancement. Open to all family members and guests. Fee for non-scouts is $7.00. This includes dinner and drinks. There will be a raffle type event following dinner. This is a major advancement day!

10th - Deadline for Final Battleship Cove Payments - $35.00 per person

15th - Saturday - District Pinewood Derby at Scout Hall Youth Center - 9:00 am - Noon (Addtl Info Here)
